Private Hire

The Bar At Temple is a fantastic floating venue with capacity for up to 180 guests (including outside space) offering amazing river views perfect for private hire venue. 
As well as hire of the entire venue we offer private hire of smaller spaces to suit all occasions.  Private hire of the lower soon or entire vessel is available 7 days a week.  Helm hire is available when the bar is open to the public.

The Bar At Temple is situated on the Victoria Embankment opposite Temple tube station and approximately 10 minutes walk in either direction to Charing Cross or Blackfriars rail stations. 

We also offer a variety of optional extras, including catering, reception drinks and entertainment options.  All inside areas can be heated or airconditioned depending on the season and weather.

THE HELM VIP Area

The Helm is a stunning outdoor VIP area at the rear of The Bar At Temple, with perfect Instagrammable photo opportunities of the amazing views over the River Thames.

For an additional fee, this area can include table service from a dedicated member of the bar team, adding the perfect touch to celebrate any occasion. 

Food can also be pre-ordered if required from the bar menu.

Available as private hire venue April – September.

DJ Equipment to hire

If you are bringing on your own DJs for then we have club-standard DJ equipment available to hire. 

Full equipment hire £78 per hour (£65 ph + VAT)

  • 2 x Pioneer CDJ-3000
  • Pioneer DJM-A9 mixer
  • Full void speaker system in 4 areas


Playlist plug in only – £31.20 per hour (£26ph + VAT)

Please note that as the Thames is a residential river MCing is not permitted under any circumstances

Just wanted to drop you a note following a smashing event yesterday. I’ll start with the positives. George and the team were fantastic, welcoming and spot on with everything they did. I couldn’t be happier. The food was great – we didn’t have as many people there as we hoped (the nature of our events) so a lot left over but everyone was going back for seconds and thirds which was great to see. The negatives – none. I wouldn’t say I am hard to please but I do like things done right and they were. Fabulous. We’d absolutely use you again. Please pass on my thanks to the lads 😊
